This debate-style session will provide a forum for the Medical Genetics and Genomics community to examine evidence and opinions that are both for and against the ordering of exome and genome sequencing by non-genetics healthcare professionals.
The session will feature a moderator and a panel of providers that will discuss the following topic: non-geneticists ordering genomic (exome or genome) sequencing within the scope of pediatric care.
Panelists will engage in a healthy debate regarding how differing views impact patient access to recommended testing. Audience engagement will be elicited through a dedicated question and answer portion.
