In-network status may not apply for all health plan types, in all geographies, or for all health plan network products, so we encourage ordering providers and patients to check the health plan for provider network status ahead of services being rendered.
Additionally, network status is not a guarantee of coverage and some health plans may have specific requirements (i.e., plan specific prior authorization form and/or letter of medical necessity) that must be met for in-network benefits to apply and for services to be covered.
