Mark Gardner
Mark Gardner serves as President of GeneDx, where he leads the company’s commercial and operations organizations, with responsibility for scaling execution, driving operational excellence, and expanding GeneDx’s leadership in genomic medicine.
Mark brings nearly 30 years of leadership experience across diagnostics, genomics, life sciences, healthcare technology, and precision medicine. Prior to joining GeneDx, he served as Senior Vice President of Molecular Genomics and Oncology at Quest Diagnostics, where he led a large-scale oncology and genomics business and helped drive growth across precision medicine, rare disease, and advanced diagnostic testing. Previously, Mark was Chief Executive Officer of OmniSeq, a precision medicine company acquired by Labcorp, and held senior leadership positions at Thermo Fisher Scientific and Life Technologies, leading global genomics, sequencing, and life sciences businesses.
Before entering the healthcare industry, Mark served in the United States Navy as a P-3 Orion pilot and achieved the rank of Lieutenant Commander.
Mark holds an MBA from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, a master’s degree in National Security Studies from Georgetown University, and a bachelor’s degree in History from the United States Naval Academy.
