In order to ensure 2023 billing, testing must be activated before the end of the year, or within 30 days of proband sample collection (if sample was collected in 2023). Further delineation of the molecular spectrum of PIGS-related disorders would improve management, help develop treatments, and encourage the expansion of diagnostic genetic testing to include this gene as a potential cause of neurodevelopmental disorders and epilepsy.
