GeneDx is making it faster and easier for healthcare providers to conduct a benefit investigation. Our BI process is completed within the GeneDx Provider Portal, and in most cases, you’ll get an immediate result. For the rest, the BI will be returned to the portal, usually within 3-5 business days. Download our guide and FAQs to learn more.
NEW! As an enhancement to our Benefits Investigation (BI) process in the GeneDx Provider Portal, you now have the option of allowing GeneDx to securely email or text your patient/legal guardian a link to view their Patient Letter directly.
Your patient/legal guardian will be able to review their estimated financial responsibility provided by their health insurance company. The financial responsibility is determined solely on the patient’s health insurance benefits. They can then decide whether to move ahead with testing via our secure, HIPAA-compliant GeneDx Portal. You can still choose to provide the digital Patient Letter directly to your patients, if you prefer.
With this new digital Patient Letter, your patient/legal guardian will be able to view their estimated out-of-pocket cost based on their health insurance benefits and the GeneDx self-pay pricing. They will then be able to make the choice to:
