Amanda Lindy, PhD, FACMG
Amanda Lindy is an ABMG-certified Clinical Molecular Geneticist and Assistant Director of the Neurogenetics program at GeneDx. She received her BS in Biology from Cornell University and her PhD in Cell Biology from the Duke University Medical School. Her PhD research interests included ion channel biology and the functional characterization of TRP ion channels. She joined GeneDx in 2013, after having completed her medical genetics training at the Greenwood Genetics Center in Greenwood, SC. While at Greenwood, she assisted in the development of Next Generation sequencing panels and novel repeat primed PCR assays for the evaluation of repeat expansion disorders, an interest that Dr. Lindy has maintained and continues to pursue at GeneDx.
