Rhonda Brandon, MS

Rhonda joined GeneDx in 2010 as an analyst, but quickly transitioned to the growing bioinformatics department. She is now the director of the group, where they are working to streamline GeneDx’s many processes in and outside the lab. Rhonda received a BS in Molecular Biology from the University of Maryland and an MS in Biotechnology from Johns Hopkins University. She has 20 years genomics experience, which started in the lab at The Institute for Genomic Research. In 1998, she was then chosen to help start Celera, the public side of the race to sequence the human genome. There she spent the next 12 years working on various bioinformatics projects and then leading the genome analysis group.
