New SCID Panel Testing at GeneDx!
The GeneDx Comprehensive Severe Combined Immunodeficiency (SCID) Panel is available now!
The Comprehensive Severe Combined Immunodeficiency (SCID) Panel utilizes Next-Generation Sequencing technology to analyze 18 genes associated with SCID disorders, making it the most comprehensive genetic testing available for these disorders.
In addition to the comprehensive panel, two sub-panels are also available that examine select genes found on the panel. The B+ SCID Sub-panel analyzes 10 gene that are associated with SCID disorders that display a B+ lymphocyte profile; the B- SCID Sub-panel analyzes 8 genes that are associated with SCID disorders that display a B- lymphocyte profile. These sub-panels allow greater flexibility for clinicians that have already ruled out several SCID disorders based on their patient’s leukocyte profile and/or do not wish to analyze all 18 genes present on the comprehensive panel.
