Swaroop Aradhya, Ph.D., FACMG, Director, Microarray Services, and Vice President

Dr. Aradhya has more than 15 years of experience in the field of medical genetics. His initial work in 1996 at the National Human Genome Research Institute (NIH) focused on molecular cytogenetics and imprinting disorders. He earned his PhD in molecular and human genetics in 2001 at Baylor College of Medicine, where he participated in the international Human Genome Project to sequence the X chromosome and also in discovering the gene for the male-lethal disorder incontinentia pigmenti. Prior to joining GeneDx, Dr. Aradhya completed his American Board of Medical Genetics training in 2007 at Stanford University. He was among the first medical geneticists to promote the adoption of array CGH technology for clinical diagnostics. He is board-certified in both clinical molecular genetics and in clinical cytogenetics. His interests are chromosomal architecture and genomic disorders, sex determination disorders, and neurodevelopmental disorders.
