Sonia joined GeneDx in 2005. She has earned a state diploma in Pharmacy and a postgraduate degree of specialization in Biology from the Faculty of Pharmacy in Tunisia. Prior to joining GeneDx, she worked as a post-doctoral fellow at the National Eye Institute/National Institutes of Health on developing transgenic mice. At GeneDx , she leads the project for the development of gene copy number testing using real-time PCR technology and MLPA. More recently, she developed the technology for Noonan/CFC/Costello syndrome testing using the Affymetrix re-sequencing platform. Her main interest is developing new technologies for genetic testing.
