Cardiac Product Specialist - Sales
(full time)
The Cardiac Product Specialist will work in the field calling on Cardiologists, Geneticists, Genetic Counselors and appropriate Clinical Lab personnel promoting GeneDx’s suite of genetic tests for Hereditary Cardiac Disorders. We have a consultative approach in positioning our genetic tests for appropriate use. The Cardiac Product Specialist will be responsible for growing existing accounts and developing new accounts in order to meet sales goals of the assigned territory. Make joint and independent sales calls to prescribing customers to promote appropriate utilization of GeneDx testing. Provide feedback to Management and Marketing on market/competitive trends. Create and deliver effective sales presentations. Initiate, negotiate and implement contracts as needed. Ensure access to testing through appropriate blood draw solutions. Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
- Minimum 2 years sales experience in the medical/diagnostics area (or relevant clinical experience). Cardiology experience preferred.
- Demonstrates excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Ability to work remotely and independently with general supervision.
- Must be a team player.

Senior Analyst, Core Lab
(full time position)
Must have at least 1 year experience in analyzing sequencing data, including:
- Familiarity with Sequencher 4.8 software preferred
- Advanced sequencing analysis skills required (high productivity, high level of accuracy)
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to prioritize
Must have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Molecular Biology or a related field and 1-2 years of work related experience, plus:
- A strong genetics background (coursework or work experience)
- Familiarity with current Molecular Biology laboratory techniques
Must work closely with an assigned test manager (TM) to analyze data for a specific group of tests. Responsibilities and characteristics include, but are not limited to the following:
- Assists TM with prioritizing analysis on a day-to-day basis
- Must have excellent communication skills
- Must be meticulous and efficient
- Assists TM with other responsibilities (filing, reviewing data, reviewing repeats)
- Must be able to take direction and work cooperatively
- Assists in TM responsibilities in their absence
Other duties may include: mutation/polymorphism database upkeep, primer annotation, benchwork, or alternate assignments as needed.

Technologist I, DNA Diagnostics Lab
(full time position)
This individual will work as part of a team in our CLIA-certified diagnostics laboratory providing molecular diagnosis for rare genetic disease for the purpose of confirmation of diagnosis, genetic counseling, and prenatal testing. Responsibilities will include preparing DNA from submitted samples, PCR amplification and sequencing of more that 130 different genes involved in hereditary diseases, and general maintenance of the laboratory. The position requires the knowledge and skills normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor of Science degree in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Genetics, or related field with up to one year of relevant experience.
Experience with some or all of the following is desirable: genomic DNA extraction, PCR amplification, sequencing, preparation and running of sequencing, agarose, and polyacrylamide gels, restriction digest analysis, and other routine laboratory techniques. Attention to detail and accuracy is critical, as is the ability to work in a team environment.
Job benefits include a great working environment, 17 days paid leave per year, participation in the company’s group health insurance, life, disability, and 401-K retirement plans. Starting salary is $32,500. We are looking for at least one person to work second shift, although there will be several months of training during first shift prior to starting second shift work. Alternative day schedules are also available (Sunday to Thursday or Tuesday to Saturday).
