Isabelle Olivos-Glander is the Director of Clinical Laboratory Operations at GeneDx. She earned her undergraduate degree at Bryn Mawr college and later earned her Ph.D. in molecular biology from the University of Pennsylvania working on the OCRL (Lowe’s syndrome) gene under Dr. Robert Nussbaum. She spent two years training at University of Maryland Medical Systems in the molecular diagnostic laboratory developing and offering genetic tests which included an Ashkenazi Jewish panel. Isabelle then worked as a fellow in the Genetic Disease Research Branch at the National Human Genome Research Institute (NHGRI) of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) for two years. Isabelle was the first full-time employee to be hired by Drs. John Compton and Sherri Bale at GeneDx, and started working with the company in 2001. Isabelle is responsible for overseeing the clinical sequencing laboratory which consists of 28 technicians, analysts, and test managers. The clinical sequencing department sequences over 200 different genes and receives ~1200 samples a month. Isabelle works on adapting our growing company to accommodate our increasing needs to produce reliable and quick results to our clientele. Click here to contact |
