MEN1 (Menin)
Using genomic DNA obtained from blood in EDTA (lavender top tube), all coding exons of the MEN1 gene are screened by bi-directional sequence analysis (exons 2-10). If no mutation is found by sequencing, multiplex ligation-dependant probe amplification (MLPA) is available to evaluate for a deletion or duplication of one or more exons of this gene.
