Senior Genetic Counselor and Test Coordinator for Prenatal Diagnostic Services
Elizabeth joined GeneDx as a Senior Genetic Counselor and Test Coordinator for Prenatal Diagnostic Services in August 2010. Originally from the Metro DC area, Elizabeth graduated from Georgetown University in Washington, DC and went on to graduate from the genetic counseling program at the University of Maryland School of Medicine in Baltimore, MD. Before and during graduate school, Elizabeth was employed at the Genetic Alliance, and after graduation, spent a year in Chapel Hill, NC working as the Cleftline Manager at the Cleft Palate Foundation. Prior to coming to GeneDx, she worked as a prenatal genetic counselor at Georgetown University Hospital and then as the Director of Genetic Services at Maryland Perinatal Associates, where she was responsible for coordinating the busy practice’s prenatal genetic counseling services. She is a member of the National Society of Genetic Counselors and is the current NSGC Prenatal Special Interest Group Research and Publications Committee Chair and is a Faculty Team Member in the Development, Molecular, and Human Genetics Module at the Georgetown University School of Medicine.
